Asian - the consumer of the world

Appreciation of various asian currencies has caused tremendous increase in purchasing power of asian consumers, especially in China, where gradual appreciation of Chinese Yuan is expected to be done by Beijing government, as the buoyant result, various Asian currencies enjoy handsome uptrend, obviously in Malaysian Ringgit, Indonesian Rupiah, and Korean Won. The ultimate effect will be increased consumption of all Asian Consumers, driven by cheaper goods and raw material imports.

Domestic consumption will be another great story, to persuade me to like Asian Consumer-ralated equity, with great population and behavior of consuming more, solid and sustainable economic growth is certain.

It's wise to invest in Asia-themed funds to tap the lucrative return of this booming sustainable economy.

Indonesia - A decade after Asian financial crisis

Undeniable, Indonesia is one of the hottest equity market in 2010, and maybe in coming few years. Many exciting stories come amid escalated equity market, they are revaluation of PER (Price Earning Ratio) of Indonesian equity market, appreciation of indonesian currency, the Rupiah, possible upgrade of Indonesian sovereign debt ratings, strong economy growth driven by domestic consumption (volume does matters, with the largest population in the south-east Asia, it is the largest economy in the region).

All of the encouraging factors cause massive inflow of foreign funds into Indonesian market, one was considered as the most badly hit country during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, therefore there is an established uptrend in indonesian equity market (the same happened in other Asean countries), unit trust can be a very good proxy to invest in foreign equity markets, like Indonesian market and other Asean markets.
